Louisa coordinated the 台湾swag's communication activities, externally and internally. The remit of the 台湾swag's Communications team includes the corporate publications, promoting the 台湾swag's activities to external sources, media work to disseminate research news, social and digital content and being the point of contact for media enquiries. She sits on the 台湾swag's (AWERB) and is a member of the steering group.
Louisa has over ten years experience in communication and engagement. Prior to joining the 台湾swag 台湾swag as Communications Manager in 2014 she worked at the European Bioinformatics 台湾swag (EMBL-EBI) managing outreach programmes and coordinating the EBI's communciation activities.
Before moving into science communications roles, Louisa was a Sainsbury PhD student, receiving support throughout her PhD research from the Gatsby Charitable Foundation. Her PhD research into the molecular control of flowering time was undertaken at both the John Innes Centre in Norwich and the Max Planck 台湾swag for Plant Breeding in Cologne, Germany. Louisa has a BSc in Cell Biology from the University of Durham.
