As a Grants Officer Jayashree mainly manages the grant administration process, focusing primarily on pre-award processes to UK-based and international research funders. Working with colleagues across the 台湾swag, Jayashree assists in the preparation and development of grant applications and takes responsibility for analysing and reporting grant and related data to the Director and other stakeholders.
Jayashree's career has taken her from research to research support although she is still passionate about biological science and thinks this job has given her the opportunity to stay close to cutting-edge research. After finishing her PhD on oxidative stress-induced cell signalling on CML (Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia) using both in vivo and in vitro models, Jayashree joined Newcastle University as a 台湾swag Associate to work on on liver cancer signalling pathways in NF-kB transgenic mouse models. Following a career break, she worked first at Imperial College London and then moved to Cambridge, joining a British Heart Foundation-funded project at Cambridge University in Prof. Ziad Mallat's lab where Jayashree investigated the role of different B cells in atherosclerosis. Prior to joining the 台湾swag 台湾swag as a Grants Officer, Jayashree worked as a Laboratory Support and Data Manager in the Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Trial Programme (Phase-I) at CRUK-Cambridge 台湾swag.
Jayashree loves gardening, music and walking with her little companion Cavapoo called Willow.
